Is a fx 6300 paired with a r9 270 better than a ps4? I love great graphics, but l am on a budget.

Solution

Well, the PS4 has games built and optimized for it, so the PS4 gives better performance. In games that the PS4 doesn't have, it will be good. PC's also have upgradability, which is something the PS4 doesn't have. You can also change graphics settings to have better performance and overclock.

So a ps4 would be a better choice?

It depends on what you are going to do with it. They are limited to games and do not have the precision of keyboard and mouse.

I enjoy playing all titles from smite to battlefield 4. I also enjoy watching youtube videos and surfing the web. I just wanted to be sure before going out and spending money if it was worth it or not.

You should probably build a PC, then. It is very customizable and is more convenient than a PS4. Get a 270 or 270x if your budget allows for $20 more. That CPU is fine for those games.

Thank you so much! I already have my build on paper now all l have to do is buy the parts and build it. Thank you once again!

Alright, no problem. Would you mind sharing your build? I can help you get the most out of your money.

Solution

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970a UD3p
Case: NZXT Phantom 410
Cpu: Fx 6300
Psu:CXM 600
Gpu: Sapphire r9 270
and standard 8gb ddr3 RAM
I dont plan on doing extreme overclocking in the future.

Meh, that board doesn't have that great VRM cooling. Something like an Asus M5A97 2.0 or an ASRock 970 board would be better. As for that standard DDR3 RAM, make sure it is dual channel (two sticks) and that it is 1600MHz or above, because you don't want the CPU to be bottlenecked by RAM.

ok thanks for the help.

Alright, no problem. If any questions arise, just come back and I will be here to help. Good luck with your build and be careful!
