Confused over upgrade paths on CPU

Hi, I currently have a Foxconn 2AB1 paired with an AMD Athlon II X4 635. My 7850 2gb gpu is being limited by this I believe, when playing games MSI reports GPU usage is 50-60% while CPU is 70%+ at all times. What is the best thing I can upgrade to under $100? What options do I have, thanks!

If both the CPU and GPU load are not at 100% you are not limited by either,since that means that neither of them has so much things to process that it gets overwhelmed.

With setup like that you are usually limited by CPU, strongly. As most games can't use all four cores the total CPU load won't be 100%.

Upgrade won't really much help you. Only few models were faster than that, and only faster by somewhat.
