Confused with Mobo Choices for my PC build

I'm building a gaming/home PC, every component has been carefully thought out, but the Mobo choices are giving me fits.

I will be running with these:

Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4-2133
MyDigitalSSD BPX M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 SSD (240GB)
Gigabyte Radeon R9 380X 4GB
WIN10 Home

My absolute requirement is M.2 PCIe for boot drive. I don't need overclocking or even want to consider it. Of course plenty of USB's and headers are nice too.

I've been looking at these Mobo's...some of the subtle differences are confusing to me. It seems that all the higher rated Mobo's are Z170's, which I think is overkill or is it?

Gigabyte GA-H170-GAMING 3
ASRock ATX H170M PRO4
MSI H170 Gaming M3

This is my last step in my build, any help is appreciated.

R9-380X when the RX480 is out there? Not sure that is a wise choice unless you already own it or it is really really cheap.

Can't really vouch for the MyDigitalSSD drive.

All of your motherboard choices are pretty good, I would go with the one you think looks best. The ASRock is a Micro ATX board if that matters.

Z170 is for overclocking and since you don't have a K series CPU they will convey no real benefit to you. So your choice of the H170 series is correct.

They appear to be basically the same. The MSI looks to be using USB 3.1 though, the others just 3.0 so there is that.
