confusing about i7 9700k

i am gonna build new gaming pc ..

so the intel 8700k is not a choice anymore because its out of stock. ..

so the i7 9700k no hyper threading is that still good choice for gaming ?
i heardthat many games this years and in the near future ( 2 yeras ) needs this hyper threading ..

do you suggest me to wait until intel release the i7 KF version ?

Hyperthredding is never needed. The 8cores will make up the difference.

Games definitely use hyper-threading, especially new triple A titles. The i7 9700k will make for a great gaming processor, however you'll get a lot more hardware for your money going with AMD. What depends on weather or not you should wait is the performance of your current hardware. Please list your current hardware specifications as well as your monitor's resolution and refresh rate.

And for those of you voting down about my hyper-threading post and people that think games still only utilize no more than/or less than 4 cores 4 threads, you are painfully mistaken. Times have changed so get with it. Google "new triple A titles" and watch game play videos with msi afterburner and on screen display on youtube.

If the i7 8700k is out of stock then the Ryzen 7 2700x is the next best thing. FPS may not be as high at times vs the i7 9700k however gameplay will be smoother on the R7 and FPS 1% lows will be better (This means less stutter):

If you want to save more money, you can ditch the AIO because the stock cooler that comes with the 2700x is plenty. I just think RGB AIO's look great in NZXT cases.

The 99% means are not better on a 2700x I agree for most people the 2700x is better since it'll allow you to spend more on a gpu but don't make stuff up https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i7-9700k-9th-gen-cpu,5876-4.html noone is saying 4core are all you use but 8 full Intel cores is going to be more than enough for years to come

I'm not making anything up. I agree with you that the i7 9700k will give you higher FPS, due to better single core performance (as I stated this earlier in the thread). That processor will give you higher FPS up front, however better multi-core performance goes to the 2700x and will ultimately give the end user better overall system longevity. As newer triple A titles continue to optimize for multi-core performance the tables will turn. Smooth gaming playback performance is not only measured in how high the FPS can be achieved.

Intel's lineup is just so wack. The only 9th gen hyper-threaded chip you can buy is the i9 9900k? What a crock of sh**!
