USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Used for gaming, mainly diablo 3, guild wars 2, and borderlands 2

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Ati radeon 4650; Corsair tx650w

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Intel core i5 3750, Asrock z77 extreme, Team Xtreem Dark Series 8GB (Probably gonna upgrade to G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB later) Case is zalman z9 with 4 fans.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I'd like to know what the difference between http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102999 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102984 is. Thanks for any help. 😀 I've been thinking of getting the first one, but the 2nd one has a lot better reviews, so i'm unsure.

Alright, let's say I have a 1080 monitor instead.

The dual-X has bigger fans. Probably quieter and slightly cooler. BUT, jrgong's right, the IceQ X is cheaper and has a better cooler than both.

BUT jrgong's wrong, HD 7850 is perfect for 900p. Especially if paired with a recent i5 (no chance for a CPU bottleneck). You're looking at 45+fps in everything, including antialiasing. I'd get one if it were more than a 20% jump from my current card.

Also, CrossfireX is pairing two cards to work in tandem. Nearly doubles performance but has a few drawbacks.
