Confusion between RAM Frequency and Clockspeed

I am considering buying a 4GB DDR3 RAM for my laptop - HP Pavilion Touchsmart 14-B172TX Sleekbook (https://www.flipkart.com/hp-pavilion-touchsmart-14-b172tx-sleekbook-3rd-gen-ci5-4gb-500gb-win8-1gb-graph-touch/p/itmdh6g6duh3v82e?pid=COMDH6G6BMNHGTJX&utm_content=click&cmpid=email_order_order_confirmation)

I have a couple of questions. Let me get to my first query.

1. I am considering buying this Transcend RAM stick (http://www.amazon.in/Transcend-4GB-DDR3L-1600-LAPTOP/dp/B00B5LOOJG?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=4d9702ba-4817-499a-9068-ffd96bcacfb5). The RAM's description says 1600 MHz. But on my CPU-Z report, the DRAM frequency of my current RAM stick is 800 MHz. Is the 1600 MHz DRAM frequency or clockspeed? Will the new Transcend RAM stick go well with my laptop?

2. If you look at the Flipkart product description of my laptop, it says the memory can be expanded up to 8 GB, but there are no unused RAM slots on my laptop. This means the laptop came with 2GB RAM sticks, since the laptop only has 4GB in total.

However, my CPU-Z analysis says I have two slots, and the channel currently being used is single, which I suppose only 1 slot has been used. Please confirm if I am right.

1. It's DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM. Frequency speed x2. CpuZ always says half your RAM frequency because of the way RAM works

2 In CpuZ, under SPD how many slots are listed and how many are filled? But yes it looks lke you have one 4GB RAM module but you should buy another one exactly the same to run dual channel and to double your RAM. Mixing RAM models is a lottery

Under SPD, there are two slots. Slot 1 has the following information:

Module Size: 4096 MB
Max Bandwidth: PC3-12800 (800 MHz)

Slot 2 is blank and inactive.

Looking at my existing RAM stick's details, do you think this Transcend 4GB RAM (http://www.amazon.in/Transcend-4GB-DDR3L-1600-LAPTOP/dp/B00B5LOOJG?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=4d9702ba-4817-499a-9068-ffd96bcacfb5) is the perfect second RAM?

Okay, thanks for your help. The particular RAM model is not available in my country and Amazon won't ship it to India. Will have to buy a set of two new RAM sticks probably!! Thanks again!!
