I'm planning to build a rig, and the motherboard I'm interested in is ASUS H87-Pro. But I've bumped into an obstacle when selecting RAM for my system. I very much like this RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB), of which model no. is CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R. However, in the qualified vendor's list by Asus, the one I like is not there but another one with a similar model no. CMZ8GX3M2A1600C7R is mentioned.

Now, between the both only the latency changes. So if I install the former instead of the latter will it cause any problem? Will there be any compatibility or performance issue, whichever is the case?

Generally speaking, any modern ram will work in any motherboard. The QVL's produced by the various board makers can never cover each and every stick of ram out there.

You'll be fine with that ram.

Thank you very much for clarifying! I'm happy to go with the RAM I chose! :)
