This OC, Armor OC, Gaming, Gaming X and Gaming Z all use the same PCB, each one beinga slight upgrade from the one before it. here's some comparative reviews to geive you an idea:

MSI 1060 OC (9.7 rating)
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_OC/28.html
MSI's GeForce GTX 1060 6GT OC is a cost-optimized custom-design variant of the GTX 1060 that still comes with 6 GB VRAM. NVIDIA launched a lower-priced GTX 1060 3 GB earlier this week, and we'll have a review on that soon. MSI decided to get rid of all the bells and whistles that are usually found on custom-design cards to be able to offer the card at NVIDIA's promised MSRP pricing of $249. MSI did still manage to squeeze in a 40 MHz overclock for a 2% performance...
Armor is MSI's low-end graphics line. It does not come with a backplate, and the cooling is mediocre at best. If you're gaming at 1080p, then you might as well get a GTX 1060, which will cost less than a mediocre GTX 1070 and probably have better cooling.

MSI decided to get rid of all the bells and whistles that are usually found on custom-design cards to be able to offer the card at NVIDIA's promised MSRP pricing of $249. MSI did still manage to squeeze in a 40 MHz overclock for a 2% performance improvement. While not much, it is pretty much the same as on other, more expensive custom-design variants which come with around a 3% boost to performance. This makes the card 12% faster than the Radeon RX480 and a few percent faster than the R9 Fury and GTX 980. NVIDIA's next-fastest, the GTX 1070, is 30% faster, but much more expensive. MSI should have overclocked their memory chips for an extra performance boost. In our manual testing, we managed 2370 MHz, up from 2002 MHz, so it's not like the memory chips can't take it.

MSI 1060 Armor OC (9.4 rating)
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_Armor/35.html
MSI's GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB Armor OC sits between the MSI GTX 1060 OC and the MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X in terms of positioning. Compared to the regular "OC", which runs identical clocks, the "Armor OC" adds idle-fan-stop, a slightly more powerful cooler, additional monitor outputs, and an 8-pin power input instead of a 6-pin. The next most expensive SKU, the Gaming X, uses the exact same PCB, same power phases, but adds a backplate, even better cooler, and higher out-of-the-box clocks.

MSI 1060 Gaming X (9.8 rating)
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_Gaming_X/29.html
MSI's GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X is a custom-design variant of NVIDIA's GTX 1060 that was released today. The card comes overclocked to a base clock of 1569 MHz out of the box (we made sure to flash to the retail BIOS as our card came with a BIOS that had the OC profile activated by default). On average, in games, the card runs at a clock speed of 1930 MHz, which is 89 MHz higher than the reference design, resulting in a 3% performance increase, which is less than what we are used to seeing from the reference-to-custom transition. The underlying reason for that is that the reference design does not suffer from thermal throttling, a first for NVIDIA in many years. It will be interesting to see where other custom designs will end up performance-wise. I do wish MSI had overclocked the memory, which would have provided an additional performance increase; the memory chips can certainly take it, which our manual overclocking section confirms.

They also did three MSI 1070 reviews all of which were rated at 9.7

MSI's GTX 1070 Quick Silver

MSI's GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X

MSI's GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X

Note that the ratings are based upon value for the money....so tht when prices change that number should be adjusted accordingly

If budget is an issue, note that the 1060 is generally considered more than adequate for 1080p. My youngest son has the Gaming X (144 hz 1080p) and is quite satisfied w/ it
