connect a wireless adapter to my tv

"Smart" TVs usually have their own wireless adapter. Non-smart TVs can use devices like a Roku or Chromecast that connects to the TV via a HDMI port.

What are you trying to accomplish? Please clarify.

a normal wifi adapter won't work on a reg tv. there is no way to install the drivers and such on the tv in order for it to work. the only way to get wifi to a non-smart tv is with something like a roku stick, chromecast, fire tv or those type devices.
