Connect "CD/Tape Rec" to computer speakers

Hi,

I have a Teac AG-D2000. I would like to connect my laptop/computer style speakers to the "CD/Tape Rec" connector. I'll connect these in a different room.

I thought I should be able to connect these directly to the speakers and BAM it will work. But nope...What am I missing?

On some units the selection of what comes out of the rec out is different than the main output. That allows you to be recording one thing while listening to another.
Check the owners manual.

Just thought of another possibility. The Teac may not send all sources to the record out. Try it with the radio.
