I'm having a time with this thing. The linksys guy even led me wrong.....any suggestions wud be so greatly appreciated.... I'm just holding on by a gnats rear with AT&T Uverse.....but its the only freaking internet we can get out here in the sticks......Plz somebody help!!!!!

Sincerely,
Frustrated to the max

I have this beast of a router that has an incredible range and extender in it so it has to help the signal. However, when trying to connect to the modem, as an access point for a better range of wifi (to the back of the house instead of running an extremely long Ethernet cord} it wont let you connect to the router when you just configure the linksys, bc they are both running on the same ip address 198.168.1.1 so i was told that you have to change linksys to a diff address and when I try to do so, the modem kicks me back.
I cant figure it out. it needs a passthrough extension so it doesnt swap back and forth so im just at a loss and AT&T has the crappiest service, signal, downloads ETC

I figured there has to be someone that has went through this and could share their experience with me, bc I cant be the only one tryimg to connect router to router on DSL

Also I paid linksys to be able to access my computer and of course i get a lady that did absolutely NOTHING but configure the router as it sits by itself, when i continuously explained to her what i am attempting. At&t tells me they cant help bc its not their router equipment.....go figure
