Connect my ACER to my LG smart tv

Can I connect my ACER Aspire S3 Intel i3 processor to my LG Smart TV. It has WiDi so can my machine link to it? If not what is a solution

So far as I can tell your laptop does not have WiDi (and to be honest, most don't). The simplest answer is to get an HDMI plug and plug your laptop into your TV. The less simple answer is to go out and get a WiDi adapter which will set you back ~$70 and use that to stream video to your TV.

WiDi, Miracast, and other solutions are pretty sweet, and I can't wait to see more adoption of them (especially in tablets and cell phones for wireless docking capability!), but the tech has been slow to see mass adoption because it is frankly a bit expensive to implement. I am not sure why Intel makes the cost of it's own products like WiDi and Lightpeak/Thunderbolt so expensive, but it is really holding things back for everyone.

If using HDMI remember to set the TV input to PC. My LG suffers about 1/2 second lag if I don't do this.

thank you I will go for the widi adaptor as wireless works better for me.

LG TV is awesome so want to get the most out of it
