Connect PC with only a cable outlet

I have a cable wall outlet that works and wifi password from my landlord. How can I set up my pc for internet. I'm not terrible tech savvy and I don't want her cable company involved.

Wifi password makes no difference if you do not plan to use wifi.

If by cable wall outlet you mean the kind you hook coax tv cable....it can be done with boxes called moca but they are kinda expensive. You likely are better off using powerline network devices.

You are throwing two disparate things at us.

Cable Wall Outlet I wager is for TV only.
Wifi Password, is well, if the landlord went into the trouble...is Internet. Hope your PC has WIFI adapter.

look at your lease. see if your getting tv and internet from the cable company or from the landloard. what you dont want to do is start taking up all the bandwith of the wifi and tick your landlord off. it might be better for you if it in the lease to op out of there tv and wifi and if you can get your own box and modem if your a hard core gamer.
