Hi,

I currently have my PC connected to an Nvidia G-sync monitor which only has 1 Displayport input. This works perfectly for my PC as my Nvidia 970 has the displayport output.

However I have recently purchased a PS4 and as the PS4 only has HDMI output I cannot connect it to my monitor. There is the option of buying an active HDMI to DP adapter but those cables don't seem to be working 100% yet as there are flickering issues etc.

I was wondering if it is possible to connect my PS4 directly to my PC (not sure if it has a HDMI input) and then the PC outputs the PS4's signal to my displayport monitor.

I would be grateful for any help.

I haven't bought an adapter yet. But just going by my research these adapters don''t look like they work very well.

I ended up buying the adapter as it was the most cost effective. It works generally well- there are flickering issues but after about 10-15 mins the flickering stops completely. By flickering i don't mean it is continuos- the screen will go blank for 5-10 seconds every 3-5 minutes but like I said it stops after 10-15 minutes.

This is the adapter I bought- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0144NS4Z6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
