My Samsung smart tv has been working fine for over a yr. We lost power this morning and now I can't use smart hub or and apps that require internet. It says its connected to the network but not the internet. I have another similar tv in another part of the house and it's doing the same thing. Everything else on home wifi is working

I think there's a problem on Samsung's end today. I've tried so many things (assigning a reserved IP, changing DNS, hard reset on router, factory reset on tv, wired vs wireless connections, changing gateway, shutting down all my other connected devices on the network to give the tv some room, etc). When I talked to Samsung support, they told me they were experiencing an unusually high volume of calls. And at the end of it all, tech said that they were forwarding the problem to someone to work on... but wouldn't be contacting me back, to try again in a few hours. Which implies to me that there really is some sort of Samsung server that has to be pinged or cooperated with or whatever for your tv to be able to access your own network.

Long story short? I think we just have to wait it out...

My Samsung TV just did the same thing after working just fine this morning. I contacted my wifi provider after doing the usual re-booting and the tech told me that Samsung had experienced some type of problem on their end that they should have a fix for in the next 48 hours. He couldn't tell me how this "fix" was suppose to get to my tv with no internet and said Samsung had provided no additional information.

Just like you, my other wifi devices are fine. So, I guess, it has to be a Samsung problem.

Hmmm........why do I have to go through Samsung when I go to the internet on their TV?

I am having the exact same problem. We came home this afternoon after being out of town to the same issue. I have checked my router and contacted my ISP with no luck. Samsung customer service is virtually impossible to get in touch with, so I am assuming they are overloaded with calls.

Thanks for the response. And that makes perfect sense! I had deducted that it had to be in the Samsung devices since every other internet connected device (eight) was workin perfectly fine. And I updated both TVs and tried the DNS changes with no success. Guess we just wait until they work out their glitch? Thanks again
