Connect soundbar (no hdmi port) to LG TV flat screen optical port is broke?

I have an older LG TV model# 47LE5400 and a sanyo sound bar without hdmi port. How do I connect?

If your TV doesn't have any working audio outputs (and it doesn't have ARC) you cannot connect it to anything. Only option is to connect the soundbar directly to any external sources that feed the TV.
