Connect to devices attached to "internet Shared" LAN port

Hello y'all,
I saw a few threads that discussed more the setup side of this but I couldn't find anything that covers my issue.

I have limited ports on my router so I wanted to connect my Onkyo receiver to the network via my desktop server.
The receiver has a browser accessible page bye going to its IP but I honestly have no idea how to set things up so that I can access it while its going through the server's extra LAN port. I feel that the internet sharing is set correctly because the receiver can check for FW updates.

You should have internet, but may have to access it from your server pc.

The internet connection sharing makes your system act sort of like a router so you would not want internet machines seeing each connected computer, they just see the server.

If you have a router and are out of ports, A switch is the best solution(in expensive gigabit switches can be had for under 40 dollars with 8 ports depending on your location). They are cheap and effective. Just connect the switch to one of the router ports(most new switches do not even have a dedicated uplink or even need a crossover cable any more).

ok, well thanks for the answer. I really didn't want to spend money on this but guess I'll have to take another look.
