Connect to router wirelessly with main pc turned off.

Hello,
I have this Thomson router and i use it for my PC and laptop. Problem is when i turn off PC, i can't connect wirelessly to the Laptop. Is there any way to do so? The router is on, only the ethernet-connected pc is off. Thanks!

Can you post the model of this Thomson? What you're seeing could surely only happen if it was USB powered by the main PC. Does the laptop not even "see" the availability of a connection?[/#000ff]

Waking up gradually over here. 😀 Another possibility is you could be sharing the PC's connection rather than having your own route to the router. Run the Network Setup Wizard in Control Panel and make sure you tick "This computer connects through a residential gateway".[/#000ff]
