I have a USB 3.1 (the 10GBPS standard, or USB 3.2 Gen 2 or whatever they call it now) to PCIe x4 card. I don't really have a specific use for it and just found it in a storage bin and I'm wondering if I could connect it to my laptop. I already have a eGPU (GTX 670) connected to my laptop through the EXP GDC Dock and that's connected to my computer through ExpressCard (PCIe x16 @ 1.1). Would it work if I just replace my graphics card with the USB 3.1 card and just slot it in, or is the EXP GDC Dock only designed to work with GPUs? Also, I have a spare mPCIe slot in my laptop so would this adapter work too? (https://www.newegg.com/p/1DW-0044-00018?item=9SIAHEA7VP4273&nm_mc=knc-googleadwords&cm_mmc=knc-googleadwords-_-accessories - video card--starthi--9SIAHEA7VP4273&source=region ). Or is this even possible at all?

EDIT: I just found out it's possible over the EXP GDC dock, but is it possible over the mPCIe to PCIe x4 adapter method?
