[SOLVED] Connect USB from APC Back-UPS to two machines?

Hi all,

I have an APC Back-UPS Pro 1200 (https://www.apc.com/shop/uk/en/products/APC-Power-Saving-Back-UPS-Pro-1200-230V/P-BR1200GI) providing power to a headless ubuntu server and a synology NAS. I'd like both units to know when power has been cut to start their timers to graceful shutdown, etc. However, this Back-UPS unit only has one rj45->USB port. Does anyone know if i can perhaps use a usb hub to connect both ubuntu and synology boxes to the back-ups? or, any other ideas? many thanks in advance...

Easier to set one up as a UPS server and install the client on the other
