connect vizioTV to a shared network

I cannot connect my Vizio TV to a shared network via wifi

There are dozen of VizioTV's out. What is your model, and what you mean as "Shared Network"? Is there a WiFi router on that network?
What do you want to do with your TV connected to the network?

Vizio Model D650i-B2. We have the TV in the clubhouse. We have working wifi for telephones, laptops, and tablets. The issue is strange. I have worked with computer networking before. It's not my first rodeo. 1) When the TV picks up the available wifi networks it shows all connections as unsecured, which they are not when using any of the equipment I previously mentioned. What Vizio explained is that this TV will not work with all types of wifi. The TV will show it connected to any of these connections I request but it cannot get out to the web. Brighthouse thinks that there may be a conflict with the type of routers or access points used. Shared network only means there are other access points in the clubhouse being shared. I vaguely remember something like this many years ago, and it was one piece of equipment not passing on the required information to get out to the web. Thank for your attention

If your WiFi network(s) are open, there is a good chance they need some kind of login page where you click "I Agree" in a browser in order to proceed. Your TV (or any other device like Roku) cannot do that, so you need either wired Ethernet connection, or protected WiFi setup.
