Connect wired computer to network through extender

I am trying to connect my computer that has no wireless card to my network through a wireless extender, but it won't connect through Ethernet. Is there some specific setup that I need to do for :
PC>Ethernet>Wireless Extender>Router?

The extender is netgear n600, my router is virgin media super hub 2, and my OS is win7 home premium if that helps.

pick up a usb wifi stick. then use it to connect to the wifi extender. if not swap the extender and try a network over home wiring system.

Your "Extender" is for making your wifi network stronger, not for connecting to a wifi network. It can be (maybe) configured to do this, but it's way too hard. Just buy a wifi adapter for your computer like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007ZWL1ZE

You don't need the range extender at all because your wifi signal should be plenty strong without it.
