Originally I had 2 drives connected to to mother board with sata, 1 drive was an SSD and the other 1TB hard drive, so i seen the 1TB hard drive had 2 satas and 2 psu cords connected in the 1TB dunno why it was custom built? So I took 1 sata cord out and 1 cord from the PSU cord out and connected an old SSD Evo 850 in, I reconnect all cords turn windows on and now only 2 SSD drives show up but not my 1TB drive? Need help have I lost everything on 1TBHD

Solution
Each drive needs a SATA power and a SATA data cable.

If you have 3 drives and only 2 SATA data cables....you need to purchase another data cable.

"so i seen the 1TB hard drive had 2 satas and 2 psu cords connected in the 1TB "

Need actual details on this.
A pic of this, maybye?
I'll do it once I get back to it, the 1tb has a sata cord and PSU cord connected into it aswel so I dunno what the problem might be, maybe swap the cords around ?

Your drives are not securely mounted.
For SSDs that's not a problem, but HDD must be mounted securely.
