Connected pc to sony kdl32 smart tv, i have screen mirrored but now on pc all apps and internet are zoomed and blurry

I connected my pc to my smart tv today with a hdmi, when i went onto resolution on my pc it detected my tv straight away.
I clicked screen mirroring and it is crisp and clear on my tv monitor, but now on my pc all the home screen and desktop is perfect resolution and clear when i go on steam and the internet the resolution is a lot worse and it is zoomed in.

I looked on resolution center and i am still on 1920x1080

any ideas or help i will be grateful for

When you mirror, the resolution is scaled back to what both screens support. So, unless your Sony is trully HD 1920x1080 (according to this article it is 720p, your computer will go to match the TV' resolution.

ANother option is to use "Extend" instead of "Mirror" - that way every screen' resolution can be changed independantly.
