Connected PS4 to Monitor with HDMI-black screen with sound? please help!

Hello,Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question but im in need of help.Im building a PC and decided to bring my PS4 into my room aswell and use my PC monitor for it.I connected the HDMI into to PS4 and the monitor - the monitor is a BenQ GL2450HM 24" btw - and it gives me a black screen although i can hear the menu in the backround

I tried going into safemode with no sucess.It was plugged into a 1080i TV before and the monitor has no drivers installed so that might be the problem.

What was the TV resolution that you had that PS4 on and what connector? If it was 1080p and HDMI too then the PS4 should see the monitor like the HDTV you were using. I'd doing this with dual inputs on my PC monitor where I have the PS4 also connected to the monitor (HDMI for the PS4, Display Port for the gaming PC).

It was plugged in with the same HDMI cable at 1080i , my monitor is 1080p.Should i plug it back into the TV and change the resolution to 1080p?

Sorry - yes. I missed your part about having it to a 1080i. Also I have the PS3, not a PS4. You should have a 1080p option in the PS4 display output options like I do with the PS3. Your PC monitor is not seeing the 1080i signal from the PS4 methinks...

I have got the same problem but both my tv LG32LB580V and monitor Asus Vg27ah as far i know both of them 1080p
