connected to ethernet, but not connected to internet

two days ago, my pc said it didn't have any connection, i thought this was normal as it happens regularly and leaves fast, but, yeah it's been two days of struggling with this and i have no clue. (also says its on an unidentified network)



any help?

restrt your modem and/or router and if that doesn't get you back up then contact your internet provider

Did you power down the router and cable modem?
some router, you may have to turn the modem first and some that you need to turn the router on first.

Have no idea but I do see lots of "unidentified network" posts, so am guessing somebody already found a solution.
