Connected to ethernet but says no internet

I have just built my new pc and I'm using a Realtek PCIe GBE family controller and I am connected to it, but it shows the yellow triangle and says 'No internet' Please help this has been ruining my experience.

As far as I know it was a update from windows that messed up the internet components and without internet you couldn't fix it. I took it to a computer repair place b/c I'm not a computer wiz and they fixed it easily. Most PC places know about it and it is an easy fix for them, but I don't know any manual solutions.
