Connected to internet but nothing's loading?

My laptop was running fine, but for a couple days it starting acting up. It says that I'm connected but it doesn't load anything. I've unplugged and replugged every cord from both my router and modem, and it's not my laptop because I took it to a friend's house and it worked fine there. I've defragged and scanned and cleaned out my disk, but it still doesn't work. I ran troubleshooter and it said that nothing's wrong.

I use Chrome and have Windows 7. Can someone please help?

Take a look in event viewer for associated errors.
