[SOLVED] Connected to my phone's hotspot on my Laptop and VPN is activate on Laptop

I am accessing wireless internet on my laptop through Phone's hotspot. My vpn is installed as a dektop client on my laptop. If killswitch is activated, will I be protected from ipleak?

Do I need to take care of any extra things?

I need vpn only for browsing

It will cover the tracks on the laptop but not the phone. The phone data will show the phones ip & location and the provider will see that your connecting to a VPN thru it.
