Connected to Wireless network but not able to connect to internet

Hello,
I have a home ADSL2 Modem Router. I have 3 computers connected to this wireless network and also with Internet access. However, I have 1 notebook connected to the wireless network but saying No Internet access.

Also all the PC and notebooks are running Windows 7.
The ADSL2+ modem router is Netgear DGN3500.
The modem router is surely connected to internet successfully as other PC/notebook connected to the wireless network are able to access the internet.

Only 1 notebook is failing. I have checked the IPv4 properties, it is same as the others. IP Address is obtained automatically.

Any suggestion is welcomed. Thanks.

On the notebook having problems...

Hit Windows key + R, copy/paste the following into the box, and hit enter.

cmd /c "ipconfig /all > %tmp%\tmp.txt && start notepad %tmp%\tmp.txt"

This will open a file detailing your network configuration. Cut and paste the contents to this forum.

That looks fine too. Both are using the same network settings (gateway IP, dns server, etc.).

Anything else unusual or different about that troublesome laptop? Third party firewalls (Norton, McAfee, etc.)? Is this only a recent problem w/ the laptop, or has it never worked on this network? What is you connect via wire, does it now work?

Try flushing all your network buffers (using Win7, you'll probably have to use an elevated/Administrative command prompt):

arp -d *
nbtstat -R
ipconfig /flushdns

... then reboot.

Hi eibgrad,
This notebook was working fine till recently and I don't remember making any changes to the network configuration.
Even if connected using cable the result is the same.
It has McAfee installed, same for the other working notebooks.

I have done the below using run as administrator but still it does not work.
arp -d *
nbtstat -R
ipconfig /flushdns

Try a system restore, esp. if there's one dating back to when you knew it was working. Maybe some recent change messed it up.

I forgot to mention 1 thing.
When I start up in Safe mode with networking, it would be able to connect to the internet.

It works after Mcafee is uninstalled.
And after that I received an email from Mcafee saying that its recent update may cause connecting to Internet Failed...
What the.....

That's why I said do a system restore. It was likely something recently installed (even an update) caused this sudden change.
