I am planning to buy a new HDD with 1TB memory and SATA 3 cable, and i wanted to add the new HDD with the old one, but my old one is 320Gb and is connected with SATA 2 cable as well as the CD-ROM, so I was wondering if there will be any problems with 2 different SATA cables connected at once

Solution
No. But strongly suggest getting a a 250Gb SSD for the primary drive. HUGE increase in speed. It will feel like youve bought yourself a new pc.

If you do make sure you plug it into a SATA 3 port and and SATA mode set to AHCI in the BIOS before you reinstall windows.
