Hi everyone
I have a T...home wireless router and a COMPEX adsl modem ( it's not wifi or any thing else! just a one port adsl modem) and an switch!!!
Our internet is across RJ11 and the T...Home modem has not RJ11 port! it has RJ45 port. I want to use T...Home because it's fantastic!! I was thinking and I got two way but i don't know how to do these!!
1. connect RJ45 wire to RJ11 wire and use directly T...Home! (I naked both RJ45 & RJ11)
2. connect COMPEX modem with RJ45 to T...Home!
can anybody help me??

Only option 2 will work it is not just a cable issue between rj45 and rj11. One is running adsl and the other is running ethernet. Converting between them is exactly the function of a adsl modem.

I am not familiar with either brand so all I can give is generic advise and you will have to look the details up on how to do it.

If the device is actually just a modem them you are all set and can cable it as you say in option 2. I suspect because it has multiple output ports it is likely a router. The best option is if the device has the ability to disable the router and run in what is called bridge mode. This will make it back into a stupid modem. If not then you either run both devices as routers or you run your second router as a AP...ie you use only the wireless part of it and disable all the router features. There is a sticky on this forum that tells how to run any router as a AP. Which you do is going to depend why you like the first router...if it is the wireless it will work the same if you need some router feature then you have to deal with double NAT of IP. Multiple NAT may or may not be a problem..mostly people who run game consoles have massive problems with it.

It's not about PC! the point is I can't use the T...Home because it has not the thelephone port! I want just sending(!) internet from COMPEX to T...Home

Router not modem.

Ok, so if i understand correctly you want the internet to run through just your T...Home Router and you are panicing because you cannot find a phone jack on it? No worries, just breathe and count to ten.

The router doesn't have one on the back because it is not a modem, it only routes the internet to multiple computers, the modem is to send the internet to the router, you use an RJ45 cable to connect the Router to the Modem on the back, it goes from the only RJ45 port on the modem to the INTERNET or WAN RJ45 port on the back of the router, then the RJ11 phone line connects to the modem. so...

1 setup the modem first
2 connect modem to router with CAT5e Etherfast cable (terminated with RJ45 ends)
-the only connecting ports used for #2 will be labeled either "INTERNET" or "WAN"
3 connect PC to Router
4 enjoy.

You connect to the internet THROUGH the router AND modem, you need the modem to connect to the internet. Otherwise you just have an intranet that has no access the internet.

just in case you're having some troubles understanding still, i have made a mock up image for you to follow
