Connecting 2 Monitors using Displayport

I have GTX780 in SLI setup and want to use 2 monitors.

Both monitors have displayport connector so I want to connect using that instead of HDMI.

Can you hook up one monitor each on SLI setup using each card's displayport?

I've never tried to connect one monitor on each card in SLI setup.
