Hey guys,

Just in the process of building my new PC.
I've decided i wanted to put 2 optical/dvd drives in has i had a extra one laying about. ones a blu ray writer the other just a standad RW DL

Anyhow i have 4 sata ports on my motherboard (2x6gb and 2 normal)

I have 2 HDD installed. 1 4TB and a back up 1TB connected to the 2 6gb ports.
There is also a bay on the top of the case for a plug and play sata device (HDD) which i'd also like to connect leavin 1 spare port.

Now i've been googling and cant find anything other than splitter power cables ( I need the mini part)

Is it possible to buy a cable that has 2 mini heads making full use of the last remaining port or can it not be done?

I've seen a 4 way splitter on amazon but the end going into the port on the motherboard doesnt look right to me so i'm reluctant to buy it.

Link to the cable

Any info would be very much appeciated.

Thank you

Thank you for clearing that up for me bignastyid. Guess i'll just have to make do with out the top bay.
I've used all the pci xpansions as well adding USB ports, graphics card and wireless card.

is it possible to do it with 6gb sata? maybe try find a work around?

🙁 bummer

Still not possible with sata III(6Gbs). There is no work around, Your options are not using the sata bay in the case, use 1 optical drive(most blu ray writers will write dvds), replace you USB expansion card with one that does sata and usb, or replace the motherboard with one that has more ports.
