Connecting 2 wireless routers

Hello,i am having difficulty connecting a second wireless router to the first one.
i have changed the IP address of the second one,then connected by wire to the first wireless router.both the router"s SSID names and PASSWORD kept same.
iam getting connected tothe second wireless router by no internet connectivity.
