Connecting 3 Monitors

My cpu is an AMD Radeon HD 7570. It has 3 outputs - DVI/HDMI/Display Port.

It is advertised that this card can run up to 4 monitors. I would like to connect 3, but currently it will not.

Using EyeFininity It detects all 3 of my monitors, but will only let 2 work at a time.

My Current Setup:
Monitor 1 - DVI
Monitor 2 - HDMI
Monitor 3 - Display port to DVI

Should I have purchased a DP adapter to convert to VGA instead of DVI?

Searching the web i have read that it doesn't have to be an active dp adapter.
Is this Valid?

Like i said before my computer is detecting all 3 monitors, but it will only allow me to connect the 3rd if I disable one of the other 2 monitors connected.

Any help would be appreciated

Is the DP to DVI adapter active or passive? You will need an active DP adapter in order for you to setup eyefinity.

It's passive. Is active the only way to go? or could i purchase a passive dp to vga and make it work?

Active is the only way to go. DP to VGA are typically active even though they may not indicate it. You can go with either active DP to VGA or active DP to DVI
