Connecting 3 pin fan to 4 pin with molex

I'm gonna connect my 2 fans (because I don't have any more fan headers on motherboard free) to PSU.

My question is does it matter how I connect 3 pin fan to 4 pin with molex? Also can I chain 2 fans? Is there anything I should be careful about? I know the fans will work with full speed.

And in general when do I need to be extra careful when plugging the cables to PSU?

Make sure that the power supply is off when connecting/disconnecting cables/components.

So i can't connect 3 pin fan connector to cable which has, on one side 4 pin connector, and male molex on one side. And than male molex to cable that has one one side female molex and one one side 6 pin that hoes to PSU?
