[SOLVED] Connecting a 8 pin GPU to a 6+2 pin power supply

I currently have a Corsair TX Series TX550M 550W, It has 1 8 pin port and 3 6 pin ports. My gpu is a ASUS GTX 1660 with an 8 pin port. What cable would I need to connect the two parts?

You connect one of the 6+2 connectors from the PSU to the connector on the GPU.

a 6+ 2 is an 8pin. They split them up so that it can be universal as a lot of gpus only use a 6pin. This saves the maker of the psu from having to have more wires.

Thanks for Replying. I can't seem to find a 6+2 pin to 8 pin cable online, I can only find a dual 6+2 pin to 8 pin cable online. Can you please link me to the above cable?

Then you only have a dual. Mine also has a dual. Just use 1 of the 6+2.

At 3:04 , it shows the PCIE cable , the 6+2 end goes into the card. Other end goes into the PSU , it will be labeled PCIE.
