How do i connect my monitor to both of the cables, without windows thinking that i have 2 displays, and without deactivating one so i can freely switch between them.

I need to connect my gpu through both HDMI and DVI and be able to freely switch .
I cannot use just one, for reasons not worth explaining.
My Gpu has HDMI and DVI ports. My monitor has HDMI and RGB port (i used an rgb cable with a dvi adaptor to connect it to the gpu, don´t ask it just necessary).

When i plugg both in, my computer booted up fine, but was in extended mode, if i switch the input on the monitor i could go between screen 1 and screen 2, screen 1 being HDMI and 2 RGB/DVI. I made screen 2 the main screen and dissabled 1 to stop the eextended mode. But now i cannot switch between them and that would cause problems.
What can i do?

Windows 10
GPU HD 7870 (Updated the drivers like 2 day ago to play Kakarot)
Monitor FLATRON M2380A (it's not a smart tv, it only has basic configuration)

That was easier than expected, thank you very much. I've read that elswhere but its not named "clone mode" on my pc and thought it was something else.
Does the clone mode put more strain on the gpu?
