Hi, i am thinking about buying my own broadband for my university hall as the wifi is very bad.

I have a ethernet port in my bedroom where my pc is, what are my options for connecting my router in my bedroom?

Is there any way i can connect my router to my ethernet cable using splitters or anything? like could i use a splitter to put my WAN into the ethernet port or is that not possible?

Any options?

This depends on the policies, capabilities of the network.

Some schools specifically prohibit in room WiFi.
Others, you must use a username/password to connect. Which might only work via a PC/laptop, and not a router.

Ask the IT staff. See what they say.
