Connecting a SATA 6 0 Gb/s hard drive to a SATA 3 0 Gb/s port

Will a hard drive with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s interface work properly when connected to a SATA 3.0 Gb/s port?
I understand the drive will be slower but other than that will it work OK?

Yes.

Plus, no current hard drive can transfer faster than SATA II, so you won't be losing any speed.

I had to set a jumper on a SATA III WD Black drive to use it at SATA II speed. Worked fine once I did.
