connecting acess point to a ethernet switch

Was wondering if it's possible to connect a ethernet switch to a router thats being used as an access point. So i have a modem/router combo connected to another router thats being used as an access point and i want to connect a switch to the access point router

It will work fine. From the devices viewpoint they the access point is completely transparent. A AP is pretty much a switch just happens to have wireless switch ports in addition to ethernet ones.
