Hello.
I have a BenQ XL2720Z 27-inch LED Gaming Monitor and an Xbox 360e (the slim version).
I also have my PC hooked up to the monitor (using VGA) which I use for work during the day and get sound through either a cheap set of USB speakers or a USB headset depending on what work/tasks I'm doing.
I also want to hook up my Xbox 360e to the monitor so I can switch between that and the PC.
After some research, I gather that I can just hook up the Xbox 360e using a HDMI cable but how do I get the sound?
The monitor has no speakers but does have a headphone audio jack and ideally I'd just like to hook up headphones to that to get the game audio from the Xbox.
I'm not interested in playing online so don't need audio for purposes of chatting to other gamers.
I just want to work on my PC during the day and then chill out in the evening quietly with the Xbox without having to mess around unplugging lots of cables etc.
Sorry if this is a bit long winded.
