Connecting case fan to pwr_fan on MotherBoard

Hi there. I have a bitfenix comrade tower which allows up to 3 case fans. I recently bought two corsair af120 case fans and plugged them into the sys fans connectors on the mobo. There is only 2 sys fan connectors on my mobo (gigabyte 970a ds3p) but i am just wondering if i plug my original case fan into the pwr fan connector will it work? (so that i will have 3 fans instead of two?).
