connecting dual monitors to usb and hdmi

Hi there , I have a dell insiron i3 Laptop that I use for stock trading and light tasks, I need more monitors to be connected. my laptop has no vga or dvi ports, it does however have 3 usb 3.0 ports , a usb 2.0 port and and an HDMI port.

will it be possible to connect these monitors (both vga) in the following manner?
MONITOR 1: to a hdmi adapter and into the hdmi port
MONITOR 2 : to a vga > USB 3.0 adaper and into the USB port?

I am not looking to mirror the displays instead to extend the screens so I can drag and drop between screens.

Hello... your HDMI output and a DVI output will have the same digital video signals...
