Hi there!

I am new around here, but I have been reading these forums for some time now.

I am trying to solve an annoying issue: the USB 3.0 cable that connects the 2 front USB ports of my Antec ISK 310-150 case is too thick/bulky to plug into the header on my B85M-ITX motherboard. It stays there, but it's definitively not plugging into the little plastic "nails" that should hold it firmly.

Result: flaky connection, data loss if storage media is attached through it.

Has anybody experienced issues like this? I have contacted the shop to ask for a replacement of this cable, but honestly I think I might not do it because I will receive back an almost equal cable, unless Antec fixed the issue by providing new cables.

Who made the B85M-ITX motherboard?

Do you have any pictures showing the problem? I can't, from looking at my Internal USB 3.0 headers and cables imagine what the problem might be. Are you not, by any chance plugging the cables into the wrong header, because I don't see any "plastic Nails" so I can't imagine what you are describing.

Have you looked into an extender cable?

ASRock. It's an USB 3.0 header because I checked on the manual (page 27), and it's called USB3_5_6 header. Also, an USB 3.0 header is larger than a 2.0 one and the cable I am connecting from the front 2 USB doors has same size.
This header has a dumb bottom-right pin, so that you can never plug it in the wrong orientation.

It's just that the cable does not make any grip on the header, maybe because of some tiny bit of plastic.

What do you mean? I can barely fit a short cable in, since it's an ITX case.
