Hi, I just built a new computer and I have a question about connecting my graphics card and my monitor. My computer monitor has a VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports and my graphics card has a DVI, HDMI, and another port which I'm not sure what it is. What needs to be connected to what? My monitor nor graphics card came with a DVI cable I believe so currently I have the VGA cable from the monitor connected to the motherboard and the HDMI from the monitor connected to the graphics card. Is this alright? I've turned on the computer and the monitor and everything seems to run fine but I just wanted to double check I've connected everything correctly. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

That means it wasn't using your gpu. You can reset cmos and it should switch setting by itself or do it manually after reconnecting the vga and changing the setting in bios.
I disconnected the VGA from the mobo and monitor and currently just have the HDMI going from the graphics card to the monitor but when I turn on my PC and monitor, the monitor is not receiving a signal. What am I doing wrong?

On the BIOS for my PC there is a board explorer option to see what's plugged in to the mobo and the PCIE slots say empty. Even though I'm sure I securely have the graphics card inserted and connected to the PSU and such. Not sure what to do. And the HDMI going from the monitor to the graphics card still comes up with no signal. I reset the BIOS I believe and still got the same results. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that I have to use the VGA to the mobo just to get to the BIOS. Also, I can't find anything in the BIOS to disable the integrated graphics if a graphics card is detected. Not sure if it matter since idk if the mobo is even detecting the graphics card.
