This is confusing, so I will do my best to explain.

My new Gtx 780 is having trouble connecting to my Seasonic 750W x-750.

There is nowhere for me to plug in the 6 and 8 pin cables on my PSU.

This is because the clip does not align correctly with the power supply holes. The only place that does fit for the 6 pin would be in the Peripheral IDE/SATA port, which i am told does not draw enough energy for a gpu.

I know this seems like something easy but it for whatever reason is not. I have 24 free slots on my pci part of my psu, but 8 of them are being taken by the cpu. So i only have 16 available, but the clips on the cables and the holes do not match up so it will not connect.

Solution
Plug the 6/8-pin connector cable into the one at the bottom left in the picture that's next to the cable plugged into the second slot in the first two images. You want to plug the PCIe power cable into the top left socket on the PSU.

If it doesn't fit, something was wrong with how the PSU was produced. Please post a picture of the PCIe power cable with the 2x6/8pin PCIe connectors on the other end that should be able to connect to the PCIe socket on the PSU.

Seasonic offers a good lengthy warranty, so if something is wrong with the workmanship and the cable won't fit, you need to contact them.
