Connecting HDMI from gpu to laptop but i cant project on laptop

So, i have a gtx 970, i have my main monitor connected from the dvi por of the gpu to the monitor, it works fine, but i want to project what im doing on my pc to a laptop by connecting an HDMI from the gpu to the laptop while still using the monitor connected to the dvi. Is this possible?

NO. The HDMI port is output only on a laptop. You could get a USB video capture device, but HDMI to HDMI won't do anything.

Exactly this. Laptops, being the portable device, are meant for putting video out, not in.
