Hey all, I recently acquired an LG UltraFine 5k Monitor. I can connect the monitor to my laptop as an extended display with no problems by using a thunderbolt cable. I've been attempting to use the monitor as my primary monitor for my PC, but can't get it to successfully connect.
My PC graphics card is a Radeon R9 380, and my motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-B85M-DS3H-A LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
The monitor only has a thunderbolt port and 3 USB-C ports, and my graphics card only has HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI ports, so I bought a bi-directional USB-C to DisplayPort cable.
Can anyone give me input on if I'm doing something wrong, or if I bought the wrong cable? I saw some people mention buying a thunderbolt PCI-E card for my computer, but I thought I didn't need one of those.
